GraceFest AV is a Kids Charities of the Antelope Valley event.
Dollars from Heaven is a special holiday fundraising program traditionally operated at Christmas time. This low key program focuses on kids needs during the holidays such as toys, food, clothes and holiday supplies. Dollars from Heaven petitions businesses, wholesale suppliers and company employees. This collective effort draws an upwards of $20,000 each year.
Thunder on the Lot was founded in 1994. Thunder on the Lot has become the single largest charity fundraiser in the Antelope Valley. Centered around a custom classic car show and motorcycle show, Thunder has evolved into the one of Southern California’s coolest events. Thunder includes concerts on two stages all day, a poker run, carnival, kids activities, huge prizes like a Harley Davidson bike, a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament, plus special features and attractions each year. With $3,000 collected the first year to over $336,000 collected at this years record breaking event, Thunder on the Lot is proud to have raised over 2 million dollars for the kid’s year to date.
Festival of Trees - At Christmas time each year the Kids Charities of the Antelope Valley presents a beautiful Christmas tree display in the showroom of Robertson Palmdale Honda called Festival of Tree's Charities. Up to ten tree's are displayed and decorated by local childrens charities. Each tree represents the non-profit organization in a creative signature way. Customers and visitors are encouraged to make an angel tree donation in support of the childrens charity. A Chrismas party and photo shoot with Santa Claus, kids from the participating charities, carolers, presents, and goodies complete the holiday celebration for numerous guests who attend each year in support of the kids who need it most.
2008's Tree decorating participants included:
Antelope Valley Christian School
Antelope Valley YMCA
Boys & Girls Club of Antelope Valley
Desert Vineyard School
Royal Family Kids Camp
Valley Child Guidence Center
